About Student Travel Grants – IEEE RFID-TA 2014


The aim of IEEE RFID-TA 2014 Conference is to bring together academic and industrial participants from different fields of wireless identification and sensing systems to the beautiful city of Tampere, Finland, which is full of technology, culture and business life.

Special focus and theme of RFID-TA 2014 will be RFID Enabled Sensing

Authors are invited to contribute and present their latest research and developments in all areas of wireless identification and sensing, especially in the following areas:

  • Biomedical Systems and Applications Based on Backscattering Communication
  • Nanomaterial-based Wireless Identification and Sensing Systems

  • Backscatter Communication Sensor Networks
  • RFID Antennas
  • Chipless RFID Systems
  • Chip and Reader Design

Deadlines for Paper Submission:

  • Paper Submission: April 15, 2014 extended to April 30, 2014
  • Notification of Acceptance: May 25, 2014
  • Final Paper Submission: June 15, 2014

Manuscripts, 4-6 A4-pages must be submitted in PDF format and English language in order to be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Once manuscripts have been accepted for presentation, authors are requested to submit the final version. All papers must follow the IEEE conference style guide and be no more than 6 pages in length.

Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE RFID-TA 2014 conference proceedings and in IEEE Xplore®. Accepted papers will also be submitted for indexing to multiple abstract and indexing through EI Compendex, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Knowledge, Thomson ISI, and IET Inspec.
